What is lead electronics?

Lead electronics used to be commonly used in various electronic products such as batteries, solders, and electronic components. However, due to the health risks associated with lead exposure, there have been efforts to reduce or eliminate its use in electronic products. Lead-free alternatives such as tin, silver, and copper alloys have been developed to replace lead-based solders and components. The use of lead in electronics is regulated by various environmental and safety standards such as the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive in the European Union and the Lead-Free Electronics Act in the United States.
